We'll be meeting up on the second Saturday of every month at Hastings Library
Tired of the same old board games you have at home? Come to Hastings Library and explore a selection of brilliant games from the Hawke’s Bay Geeks Guild’s collection. Roll some dice, place your workers, spend your credits or build an unbeatable resource engine! Whether you want to crush your friends and family or work together for a greater purpose, there are so many to choose from. You can build a beautiful stained glass window, brew explosive unwieldy potions, craft a delicious sushi meal, tame arcane magicks and meet mythical creatures all without leaving the comfort of your chair. Not experienced? Don't know where to start? No problem! Geeks Guild volunteers will be there ready to help teach and guide new and old gamers alike.
Develop strategy and collaboration skills; build fluency in literacy, numeracy and communication; meet new people and most importantly, have fun!
Ages 6-106+ (tamariki must be accompanied by an adult). Drop in.
The Hawke's Bay Geeks Guild is a community for likeminded geeks, nerds, otakus and gamers to meet and hang out (online and in the real world). For more information about them check out www.geeksguild.nz, or facebook.com/groups/hbgeeksguild. It’ll help them out if you let them know you’re planning to come on Meetup (meetup.com/GeeksGuild)
