Third Saturday of every month 12-3pm Hastings Library
Do you hear people talking about D&D and wonder what you’re missing out on? Want to tell interactive stories and work on social skills, teamwork, maths and learning through game play? The Hawke’s Bay Geeks Guild is offering free sessions where you can learn how to play Dungeons & Dragons, build your own character (or select a pre-made one) and set off on an adventure. These three hour sessions are suitable for those aged 10 and up, including adults.
Tamariki must be accompanied by a caregiver, and those who might have trouble keeping a record sheet and adding numbers will need active support from an adult who can assist.
If you have your own (family-friendly) campaign going but struggle to find a place to meet, come and play at the library (no registration required) so you can meet other DMs and adventurers, share ideas and network.
Ages 10+
