Rose Sunday 2024

Free
Rose Sunday 2024

Join us for the annual Rose Sunday in the beautiful Frimley Rose Gardens.

Bring a picnic and find a spot amongst the roses to enjoy a few hours of live music from Twin City Stompers, kids activities, and expert advice on hand from the New Zealand Rose Society. All free.

There will also be ice cream and coffee available to purchase.

Visitors will be greeted by Rose Society members and will be able to get advice and information on all things ‘Roses’ from industry professionals.

Frimley Rose Garden was officially opened on Sunday 26 November 1967 and its design was based on Kew Gardens in England. Starting with 4,000 rose bushes, it has grown to now hold over 5,500 roses. Frimley Park is widely known as an ‘Old English’ park and has a number of historic trees.

The Frimley Park playground next door to the Rose Gardens will keep the family busy with swings, slides, rope climbers, sandpit and path for scootering.

Don’t miss this relaxing family event, Sunday 10 November, 11am – 3pm.
