The King of Reggae, the Rastafarian Prophet, the honour-rebel Robert Nesta Marley - Bob Marley - turns 80 on Feb 6 2024.
Hawke’s Bay’s favourite reggae band The Rude Boyz will be performing a tribute to mark this auspicious occasion with a full showcase of his most iconic fan favourites and also some songs you don’t often hear performed from his vast array of masterpieces.
From his early days as a wailing rude boy with The Wailers to his international stardom solo career as Bob Marley and the Wailers you will be treated a night of deep pulsating roots reggae classics.
These concerts draw an eclectic crowd from all ethnicities and age groups drawn to the chanting for freedom from oppression, war and hatred to the sanctity of the universal one love message.
