A Small Hall Session with M Ward

A Small Hall Session with M Ward

Small Hall Sessions with M.Ward

I've been listening to the music of M.Ward for over 20 years. His music to me has a beautifully intimate sound, there is a open honesty to them, a raw, fresh authentic sound.

His albums Transfiguration of Vincent, Transistor Radio, Post-War and A Wasteland Compilation have all been on high rotate for me since they were first released.

To have an artist of this calibre, with a global following, agree to come to three of the Small Community Halls of Hawke's Bay is a massive honour. He is only doing one other public show in New Zealand, at San Fran in Wellington.

It's my expectation that these shows will sell out quickly, and that people will travel from around the country to see him in such intimate and character filled spaces.

Hailing from Portland, Oregon, prolific singer-songwriter and guitarist M. Ward returns to the other side of the planet where his fanbase has steadily grown over 25+ years of touring, performing and making magical soundtracks to our lives.

Experience the legend behind the mesmerising folky/bluesy/otherworldly album Transfiguration of Vincent, or as one half of the popular indie outfit She and Him with Zooey Deschanel, and also an important portion of indie supergroup Monsters of Folk.

In these live, up close and super intimate shows, M. Ward will bless fans and introduce new listeners to the best and most beloved songs of his extensive and all-embracing musical profession.
