Celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Hawke’s Bay Indian Cultural Centre with the spectacular event, "MADE for A Cause 2025," featuring the dance drama "Wairua Paani"

Following the highly popular, bi-cultural shows like “Shakuntala,” “Sita Unsung,” and “Takshaka - King of Snakes,” Krishni Production, and Hawke's Bay Flying Trapeze collaborating this time with the Wahanui Production to bring you another dramatic masterpiece.

This multi-faceted, multi-cultural original theatrical creation has been devised, scripted, produced, and performed by some of the best talents in Hawke's Bay, combining contemporary drama with ancient Hindu epic tale and Maori culture. This adaptation brings a rich and wholly new dimension to the Hawke’s Bay performing arts scene. The show promises to be unmissable, embellished with superb costuming, beautiful dancing, breath-taking aerials, Stage combat Kapa haka, waiata, and te reo.

Key Contributors:
• Deepthi Krishna: Creative Director/choreographer and TV3 Dance Masala fame dancer. Deepthi founded the Hawkes’s Bay Indian Cultural Centre (HBICC) and instigated the annual event M.A.D.E (Music and Dance Event) for a Cause as a platform for showcasing the talents of her students at HBICC.

• Eunice August Smith: Director with experience in Tangihanga and many productions.

• Kristyl Neho: Kristyl Neho – Director, Writer, Producer, Production Manager, Performer. with over 25 years in the performing arts. A graduate of Toi Whakaari, she is the founder of Maia Dreams Charitable Trust and Director of Wahanui Productions. Her contributions earned her recognition as a Kiwi bank Local Hero (2024) and a finalist for Inspirational Woman NZ 2024.

• Mike and Bronwyn: From Hawke's Bay Flying Trapeze, adding intrigue and aerial stunts. They have done many performance internationally and choregraphed the aerial acts for Sita Unsung and Takshaka.

• Anton Wuts: Composer, music teacher, Jazz legend, local heavy weight champion of the saxophone. He will lead the music band “ Dr. Wuts & The Bindaas Bollywood Band”.

• Jose Mani: Expert in stage combat with specialization in Kalaripayattu, the ancient Indian martial art.

‘MADE FOR A CAUSE’ event historically supported different charitable organisations (including Cancer Society HB, Kidney Kids, Heart Kids, Re-Source HB) by contributing a part of the proceedings and this time we aim to raise awareness about cyber-attacks.
