Māhia Beach is a safe and shallow family beach. This beach is also great for water sport lovers. Bring your paddle board or surf board and enjoy the sea.
There are parking areas in various locations along the road. Public toilets are located next to the beach by the Māhia Fishing and Boating Club.
From Wairoa, take State Highway 2 heading towards Gisborne. At Nuhaka continue straight ahead towards Māhia.
